EDT is continuously adding support for new digital cameras to our DV series of products.
For Camera Link cameras, adding support usually just involves creating a new configuration file. For non-Camera Link (LVDS or RS422), a new cable often needs to be specified and built as well.
Configuration files are ASCII text files that describe the attributes of the camera and any initialization parameters that need to be set. Configuration files for new cameras can be created by the user. Refer to the links below for detailed information on creating or modifying configuration files.
Due to our long experience with all types of digital cameras, we can usually add support for a new camera in a relatively short period of time, particularly if we have a camera on hand to test. Working up a cable will add some extra time and cost, so if it is not Camera Link, that will need to be factored in.
