Camera Link

Camera Link™ is an interface protocol that includes standardized interconnects between cameras and frame grabbers. It is based on an implementation of National Semiconductor's Channel Link™ technology. The Camera Link standard was developed with the participation of several camera and framegrabber manufacturers.

Camera Link defines a single connector for both the frame grabber and the camera. This ensures that all products bearing the Camera Link logo are interchangeable with each other. The camera link specification can be purchased through Machine Vison Online.

EDT manufactures a full line of camera link solutions, covering a broad range of operating systems and platform hardware. All EDT Camera Link products come with support for Windows NT/2000/XP, Sun Solaris, Linux, and MacOS. VxWorks drivers are available on some platforms as well.
