The ExpressLink DVa is a Camera Link framegrabber that plugs into an
ExpressCard 34 or 54 slot to provide high-resolution image capture for
laptop and notebook computers.
The product supports one medium, or up to two base-mode Camera Link cameras
via two MDR26 connectors; one or both can be replaced with fiberoptic
transceivers. With the fiberoptic option and EDT's RCX C-Link adapter at the
camera end, cameras can be remotely located up to kilimoters from the host computer.
Images are captured and displayed in real time, and camera speed, resolution,
and number of buffers are limited only by host bandwidth and memory.
Optional DRAM (DDR2 SODIMM) of 1 GB can be added for snapshot recording
and frame buffering.
Line and frame triggering are supported over camera control lines, while
onboard UART provides serial control.
Provided with the board are drivers
for supported operating systems and a software development kit that includes
C language libraries, examples, utilities, image capture and display GUI,
camera configuration files, and Camera Link standard DLL for camera control.
