Ninth Annual Northwest RV Fly-In

We had another great fly-in this year. Weather was a bit off in the AM, which probably kept some of our nothern neighbors out. But the clouds cleared by 1:00 and we ended up with a respectable showing, with 57 RVs in attendance.

Seas of canopies, oceans of tails.

Our fearless leader. After doing this for so many years, he's got things so well organized (and delegated) that all he has to do is ride around on a bike and look official. Smart guy!

Food service. That's Janet Wentz at the cooker, and Randy Griffin turnin the 'dogs. Janet did a great job again this year running the food -- maybe Don will break down and give her a ride some day as a reward for her efforts :-)

Randall Henderson, who does the t-shirts every year, finished his plane several months ago. Interestingly, his plane showed up on this year's shirt. Coincedence? I don't think so....

The sun FINALLY came out about 1:00.

Left: Don Wentz's plane looked a little forlorn without the wings on (he's taken it down for major maintenance and improvements). Right: The RV-9A prototype in its new, non-traditional Van's factory demonstrator paint scheme.
