EDT and our customer, X-Scan Imaging, are featured in the April 2010 issue of Vision Systems Design magazine.
The story, entitled X-Ray Vision, shows how X-scan integrated EDT's PCI Express framegrabbers with a Camera Link linsecan X-ray camera to develop a system for scanning large, heavy-duty tires for manufacturing defects. A key feature in the system is the use of EDT's RCX C-Link Coax2, which provides the ability to extend Camera Link range far beyond the distance that can be achieved with standard Camera Link cables.
