The PCI 16D provides a high speed, 16 bit, continuous data 1/0 interface for PCI Bus computers. This interface is used for computer to device connection where speed and continuous processing are essential. The PCI 16D will support 10 megabyte per second transfers.
The PCI 16D may be used to enable the transfer of data to or from the host computer. Typical applications include A-D and D-A converters, telemetry systems, and video systems.
Device drivers for Sun Solaris™, Linux, and Windows are included with the board, as well as several utility and example programs and a C language interface library. The driver provides access to the PCI 16D through standard system I/O calls.
