Production release of the PCIe8 DV C-Link is now projected for late June 2008. Please check back later for updted information or contact us for current status.
- 8-Lane PCI express board
- Interface: Camera Link base, medium and full mode cameras
- Up to 28 bits per channelDirect memory access to host memory -- camera resolution independent
- On-board region of interest control
- PCI Express Bus data rates of up to 1.4 GB/sec (peak) in an 8-16 lane PCIe slot
- Triggering via internal or external trigger, programmable pulse-width, or freerun
- Device drivers & SDK for Sun Solaris, Linux, MS Windows, MacOS, VxWorks
- Also available in PCI, PMC and Compact PCI
The PCIe8 DV C-Link provides high resolution image capture for Camera Link monochrome and color digital cameras, and takes advantage of the increased bandwidth of 8-lane PCI express to take high performance image acquisition to the next level.
Virtually any Camera Link camera can be used with the PCIe8 DV C-Link, provided the output is within the board and host's bandwidth limitations. Two MDR 26 pin connectors (Camera Link standard) are provided, for two base, one medium, or one full mode camera.
The PCIe8 DV C-Link is a multi- channel DMA interface, with up to 800 Megabytes per second capability (subject to host architecture limitations) in an 8-16 lane PCI express slot. Spatial and depth resolution and the number of buffers are limited only by the host memory.

Intel, AMD, SPARC or PowerPC computer with high-performance video and available 8 or 16-lane PCI Express slot (will also work in a 1-lane or modified 4-lane slot, but with reduced maximum bandwidth.) Note that some systems have PCI Express slots that are dedicated to display boards only and may not work with general purpose boards such as the PCIe8 DV C-Link -- ask your motherboard manufacturer. Read more about system requirements here.
