Description

The OCM is a mezzanine board for the PCI SS, PCI GS, or PCIe8 LX main board, and supports synchronous optical network (SONET) OC-3, OC-12, OC-48 and synchronous data hierarchy (SDH) STM-1, STM-4, STM-16 telecommunications standards. The mezzanine board has two fiber-optic LC connectors. One fiber-optic connector will support the OC-3/STM-1, OC-12/STM-4 or OC-48/STM-16 standard bit rates, while the other fiber-optic connector will support the OC-3/STM-1 or OC-12/STM-4 only.

EDT provides an FPGA configuration file that acquires raw data or detects and synchronizes raw data to a SONET/SDH frame.

Software

    Device Drivers for Sun Solaris (Intel and SPARC platform), Linux and Windows are included with purchase of the board. Drivers for VxWorks and MacOS are available on request.
